Join us for the latest in a series of interactive events specifically focussed on Building Societies.
Recent continued events have highlighted some of the threats that Building Societies, Mutuals & Credit Unions face in the UK. Cyber-attacks, reliance on 3rd parties and the impact of COVID 19 are some, whilst more local issues around systems and data security are some of the others which are impacting the sector today. The FCA is predicting a trend of increasing threats based on the growing number of reported incidents at a time when this sector is seeing a significant movement of applications, data and workloads to the cloud, sometimes for the first time.
You will have the opportunity to hear how financial services companies are addressing these trends and have the opportunity to participate in an informal open forum to discuss these current topics and strategies with peers from the UK Building Society Sector.

Her particular research interests include research into security vulnerabilities in medical devices forming
part of the Internet of Things, and how these could be exploited by malicious attackers, as well as what
types of forensic artefacts could be identified from any attacks. She is extremely passionate about
protecting people whose lives depend on these medical devices, and her passion saw her becoming a
researcher within an MDM. She is also developing a digital forensics and incident response approach
dealing specifically with implanted medical devices and medical devices installed within a healthcare
setting. At her core Veronica is a forensicator and hacker and in love with every bit, byte and nibble of
