The costs to store and process data are rapidly declining, yet most organisations are not in a position to effectively utilise their data assets.
A common blocker to this is a disconnect from strategic business needs and the underlying data architecture. Attempts to rectify this with well scoped change programs can fail when the needs of the business evolve or value isn’t rapidly shown.
Newer cloud technologies allow a lower cost to fail and a faster build cycle, meaning that new ways of working can be trialed before rolling out at scale. They also cut complexity, where a smaller team of technically adept engineers or analysts can leverage these faster, simpler tools to focus on business complexity over technological complexity.
Henry has spent the past nine years using data to accelerate hyper growth companies.
From 2015 to 2017 Henry built Deliveroo’s data and analytics function from scratch. This included rolling out Looker and Snowflake globally (the fastest and largest rollout both companies have seen, outside of the United States) and growing the data and business intelligence team from 2 to over 40 FTEs.
